KermCo can take care of all your training requirements; we offer IPAF operator safety training on all types of plant and equipment. IPAF (Internationally Powered Access Federation) are the UK's most established access platform training provider and has been in operation since 1983.
It is now a requirement that all operators of M.E.W.P.S (Mobile Elevation Work Platforms) have adequate training and the certification/card to prove it. A one-day operator training course is the shortest course considered adequate, this consists of practical, theory and a multiple choice test. Every person that passes the course will receive an operators certificate or photo ID (IPAF PAL card). Kerm Co holds the IPAF training courses at the customers premises, and where possible with their own equipment.

HEALTH & SAFETY WHILE WORKING AT HEIGHT
Latest figures show that 45 people died from a fall from height at work in 2006/07. Falls from height remain the most common kind of accident causing fatal injuries. It has been found that falls from height usually occur because of poor management control rather than equipment failure. (HSE 2006)
It is the employers' responsibility for maintaining safety standards that satisfy the criteria laid out in both EC and Health and Safety at Work legislation.
